Much of my life is dedicated to conflict transformation, and specifically conflict transformation between queer communities and communities of faith (my father is a fundamentalist Evangelical Christian pastor who is a vocal activist *against* the rights and dignity of queer and trans folx like myself). the song came as i was crying out about healing and transformation within my own family of origin and far beyond."
